Schooling Facilities
We are very lucky to have a 20m x 40m ménage on the yard comprising of poles, barrels, ditch boards and rubber hurdles to educate young horses from scratch, and keeping the more experienced sharp with their jumping
Gallops
We are extremely fortunate to have the daily use of a superb five-and-a-half furlong hill gallop and a two furlong round sand canter, by kind permission of the Barber family. 100’s of winners including Aintree and Cheltenham Festival Grade 1 winners have been trained on these gallops. Depths and surfaces are checked annually, and the gallops are harrowed three times daily to ensure perfect underfoot conditions.
Grass Schooling Area
Next to the top of the hill gallop we have our grass schooling area. By kind permission of Jeremy Barber, we have a beautiful field featuring a lovely steady incline where we have sited three sets of tyres, three flights of rubber hurdles and two plain fences and one open ditch. We have everything needed to optimise each horses jumping ability.
Five-horse Premier Horsewalker
Used daily with each horse. Boasts an 43mm rubber brick floor ensuring horses have a safe anti-slip footing.
